About Consulate General of Ireland, Atlanta

The Consulate General of Ireland in Atlanta works to promote Ireland across the states of the US south-east and to build and sustain relationships at the highest levels of government, business and education. This includes highlighting the advantages of Ireland as a place to do business and working to assist Irish companies interested in expanding their operations or markets in the US south-east. We also prioritize the promotion of Irish culture and sports and seek to raise the profile of Ireland as a superb place to visit and to study.

The Consulate General in Atlanta does not process passport, visa or citizenship applications. Applicants for these services in the states of Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida should contact the Consulate General of Ireland in New York. Applicants in Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi should contact the Consulate General of Ireland in Chicago.

We work closely with our Embassy and with Irish state agencies across the US to promote Ireland in a variety of ways.
The Consulate works with Ireland’s Embassy and other Consulates and State Agencies to pursue opportunities that will deliver economic growth and jobs for Ireland. We also help maintain and enhance links with our Irish-American diaspora and promote Irish culture in new and traditional forms.

The Consulate works closely with Ireland’s Embassy and other Consulates and State Agencies throughout the United States to promote trade, tourism and inward investment. We can:

- Support Irish companies who want to find and access new markets;
- Provide general advice on doing business locally and, through our network of contacts, pursue export and investment opportunities that will benefit Ireland;
- Work to secure market access for Irish products in key sectors in high-growth and emerging markets.
