About Irish Pastoral Centre Boston

The Irish Pastoral Centre (IPC) began in 1987 to support a large influx of Irish immigrants as they transitioned to their new life in America. Over the years the Centre has grown into Boston's only Irish community support and resource organization. Now in our 35th year, our confidential services and community outreach programs have expanded. Staying true to our mission, we are proud to be a community beacon, founded in the roots of our faith and heritage while promoting the continued presence of Ireland in Boston.

The Irish Pastoral Centre (IPC) strives to assist Irish immigrants in varying capacities and facilitate their positive transition to life in America. Since 1987 we have been committed to serving the most vulnerable in our community in as culturally sensitive a manner as possible.

Our community is a combination of Irish & American people with similar interests and goals that are shared with the IPC. We are guided by the Christian principle of providing help to “the stranger among us.”
